EXTON PA – Citadel Credit Union, which operates branch offices in Pottstown, Limerick, Phoenixville, and Harleysville, has hired Phil Sutliff (at top), formerly vice president of business banking with Colorado-based Blue Federal Credit Union, as its head of business banking, it said Monday (Dec. 13, 2021). Sutliff will focus on building and cultivating a new business banking division, Citadel added.

He is anticipated to work with a variety of Citadel teams and new hires, enabling the division to offer a suite of full-service business checking, savings, and cash management options. They will be in addition to the credit union’s suite of business lending options and commercial real estate loans, it stated.

“Expanding business banking is a critical next step in Citadel’s plan to build financial strength and prosperity across our community. We’re thrilled to have the expertise of someone like Phil to lead this significant endeavor,” Citadel Senior Vice President Mike Schnably said. Citadel expects to fully roll out its deposit offerings for business banking in the third quarter of 2022.

Sutliff, a Collegeville resident, over the next several months will build a team of business relationship managers to serve as trusted advisers to Citadel’s current business members and future clients.
