Falcon National Bank hires new VP of business banking

A 30-year industry veteran is joining Falcon National Bank as its new senior vice president of business banking.

Neil Anderson will fill the role and brings with him more than 30 years of experience in commercial lending. 

“Our pipeline for commercial loans is the highest it’s been in several years,” Senior Vice President of Business Banking Troy Cameron said in a press release. “As a community bank that prides itself on personalized service and fast turn times, we need to be sure we have the staff to deliver upon that promise.”

Liturgical Press promotes staff in effort to strengthen company

Catholic and ecumenical publisher Liturgical Press in Collegeville has promoted staff members “in a realignment of responsibilities intended to strengthen company performance post-pandemic,” according to a press release.

Hans Christoffersen is now editorial director of Liturgical Press, formerly serving as publisher for academic and monastic titles, the release said. He will be responsible for almost all books and periodicals, as well as lead “the acquisition of new work for existing readers and new audiences,” the release said.

According to the release, other new roles include:

  • John Kyler, general editor for parish resources: acquires pastoral books and handle parish programs and periodicals
  • Tara Durheim, marketing director: oversees the new marketing department
  • Michelle Verkuilen, associate marketing director: responsible for author support, publicity and print promotions
  • Monica Bokinskie, creative manager, marketing
  • Brian Woods, sales director: responsible for direct sales and resale channels
  • Brother Aelred Senna, publisher for “Give Us This Day” starting in 2022

​​​​Former “Give Us This Day” publisher Peter Dwyer will retire in June 2022.

Local professional joins Minnesota Recruiting & Staffing Association board

Jill Magelssen of Express Employment Professionals in St. Cloud has been appointed to the Minnesota Recruiting & Staffing Association board of directors.

Magelssen owns the St. Cloud Express Employment Professionals franchise office, which helps employers find employees and helps workers find jobs in Central Minnesota. 

The MNRSA board is made up of volunteers from across the state who represent Minnesota’s staffing and recruiting industry and advocate for the industry, according to a press release from the association.

Brenny Specialized wins safety award

Brenny Specialized Inc., a trucking company out of St. Joseph, received a safety award from a national insurance company.

Brenny Specialized received a platinum award from Great West Casualty Company. The award was given out as part of the company’s’ National Safety Awards program, according to a press release provided by Sherman Insurance.

Awards are based on year-end preventable crash results, the release said. 

“Brenny Specialized has earned the award multiple times now and that is a hard thing to do,” said award presenter Rick Albrecht of Sherman Insurance Agency.
