Liberty Bank names new president, staffing at Bellevue office

Liberty Bank, a Poulsbo-based company, has announced its staffing of the newest office in Bellevue including folks who live all over the Eastside.

The bank has named Alan Fulp, a resident of Mercer Island, as president and chief lending officer, putting him in charge of the bank’s newly created office in Bellevue. The company changed its name from Liberty Bay Bank earlier this year.

“I am excited to be back in Bellevue, where I started my banking career in Washington, working for a dynamic new bank office that will grow with our vibrant community,” Fulp stated in a press release. “The people that we’ve added to our team represent dynamic, customer-centered individuals who are excited to serve our growing customer base.”

Fulp brings more nearly 30 years of financial services experience and passion to his role as president and chief lending officer. He joined Liberty Bank to return to his community banking roots, where he enjoys the partnership that grows between business owners and the bank, according to a press release.

Prior to joining Liberty Bank, Fulp served as managing director of private banking for the Ascent division of U.S. Bank. He previously worked as a senior relationship manager at The Commerce Bank of Washington and led Core Business Bank in Bellevue as president and chief operating officer. He also worked as a commercial banker at Charter Bank and Columbia Bank.

Fulp is a board member and past board chair for the Bellevue Downtown Association, a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Bellevue, a past board member and treasurer of the Mercer Island Schools Foundation, a volunteer for the YMCA and a past board member of Campfire Puget Sound. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in economics and speech communication from Willamette University in Salem, Ore., and graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School.

Additional hires include Christina Beason of Bellevue, Aleecia Poulsen of Renton and Tony Vounn also of Renton.

Liberty Bank’s new Bellevue office is located at 10500 NE 8th St., Suite 850.
