Senior Director Business Analysis

Job Description

Provide strategic leadership for large/complex process improvement initiatives for the Finance Controllership group. Determine data needs and reporting requirements through collaboration and consultation with other groups. Oversee and document analysis of work-flow, database/system design, and creation of reports to support business needs including external regulatory reporting and internal business management reporting.


Evaluates business and reporting processes, identifies needs, and develops strategies to maximize opportunities. Conduct research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside of the existing business architecture and determine whether new solutions are feasible. Responsible for driving large/complex business process improvements and initiatives that support operational excellence, productivity enhancements, growth or other key initiatives.

Build relationships with business leaders to understand business objectives and priorities. Partner with business leaders to evaluate current processes and systems/tools, and develop enhancements through new data capture and flow improvements that lead to improvement in the efficiency and quality of financial reporting and business understanding.

Responsible for maintaining projects on time, reporting on progress, managing expectations and risk, and ensuring ensuring post-implementation benefits are measured.

Provide leadership and direction to a Business Analyst. Manage and drive team performance, seek professional development opportunities for direct report, and provide coaching and feedback.

Maintain knowledge of new developments in business process improvement methodology and data analysis, including learning from other market leaders and industries. Educate broader team on changes in the industry and make recommendations for internal improvements.

Required Qualifications

Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, ability to analyze data and recommend solutions.

Extensive quantitative and analytical skills with experience in process improvement.

Demonstrated ability in integrating business knowledge with analytical insight.

Ability to influence across organization, motivate and negotiate with senior leaders and corporate office partners.

Must have excellent program management experience/skill.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years financial services industry experience

External reporting/SEC regulatory reporting experience including proficiency with Wdesk data/reporting platform
